When you travel abroad, robbery is a legitimate concern. There are ways to prevent becoming victim of a crime, so follow these tips closely and you will have an easier time on your trip.
Instructions
1. Before you embark on your travels, investigate properly the areas that are most dangerous in the country you wish to travel. Try to avoid those areas at all costs.
2. When you are travelling by bus or walking, have your valuables in a pouch you keep underneath your clothes, or an inner pocket. Try to have it seem almost invisible so robbers do not think of robbing you.
3. If you encounter a dodgy area, make sure you do not appear nervous or scared as thieves will pick up on it. Try to get out of there as soon as possible while maintaining a serene exterior.
4. Make sure you do not carry unecessary items when travelling or sightseeing. Also, don't look like someone worth robbing by wearing lots of gold jewelry or other costly items.
5. Do not pull out huge amounts of money on the street, or valuables such as video camaras. Carry you purse or bag sideways so that it is not easily taken by a thief and never leave your bag unattended.
