Car shows offer car enthusiasts a place to display and view classic cars.
Some people use cars for transportation, others use cars as a means of artwork. Older generation cars are often bought and rehabbed like an old house to put on display at car shows. Many of the cars that are entered into these types of events have had parts replaced, motors rebuilt and are custom painted. Central Ohio is full with car shows just like these, especially in the Columbus area. Car enthusiasts spend their time and money on project cars and gladly put them on display to share their work with other car aficionados.
Ohio Motorsports Expo
The Ohio Motorsports Expo takes place at the Ohio Expo Center in the Lausche Building in Columbus. Visitors from all over the country visit this event to view the classic car show, with a special display dedicated to Hemi powered vehicles. Look for deals at the automotive swap meet. This is an event fit for all ages and families are encouraged to attend.

Ohio Mopar Expo
This Mopar show includes models from Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge and Imperial and is one of the last shows of the season. A swap meet is available for attendants looking for parts for their project car while the "Car 4 Sale Corral" offers project cars for purchase.

Columbus Sports and Import Car Show
The Columbus Sports and Import Car Show is held at the Ohio State Fair and benefits the Beat the Streets after-school program. The car show is open to all makes of domestic and import vehicles. This family event has food, music and entertainment.

Jack Gieseler Memorial Car Show
This annual car show is sponsored by the Hanover Volunteer Fire Department and the proceeds from the event help fund new equipment for the department. Dash plaques are available and visitors can enter the raffles for prizes.

PPG Goodguys Nationals
The Goodguys Nationals features over 7,000 classic cars and hot rods, vendor displays, and a swap meet. It is held at the Ohio Expo Center over a three-day weekend where Friday normally starts the drag racing trials. For additional entertainment there are also hot rod seminars and poker runs available.
