Contour Stomach Exercise

Contour is an ab-sculpting system that uses a CoreBelt and gel pad electrodes to stimulate abdominal muscles, leading to toned abs. The technology works like a pacemaker to stimulate the muscles, making them contract and relax as if you were doing crunches or other exercise. The Contour system advertises results similar to that of regular exercise, only without the muscle fatigue associated with it. This product has been approved by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) for sale without a prescription.

Exercise Strategy

The Contour CoreBelt is intended for use five times a week, for a 30 to 45 minute session each time. This session includes a five minute warm-up and 15 minute cool-down. The belt will work your core muscles, including the upper and lower abs. There are gel pads attached to the belt. Place the belt around your waist, with the top at navel height. The gel pads should touch your skin and the lead wires should be attached between the pads and the belt. Turn the belt on and select your desired program. The belt will begin operating, and you do not have to do anything. You can even sit down while the CoreBelt works.

The CoreBelt can operate on an intensity of 0 to 100 percent, with higher intensities having a greater effect. However, the higher the intensity, the more discomfort you may experience. Adjust the intensity until you get used to the device. Afterward, you may have some muscle soreness, typically appearing 24 to 48 hours after use. Wait at least six hours between sessions.

Diet and Other Tips

If you follow a healthy eating plan, you can expect to see results in two to three weeks after starting use of the CoreBelt. Contour designed a diet program to go along with the use of the belt, in which participants eat six small meals each day. Exercise will also influence the rate at which you see results. The higher the intensity of the belt, the faster you will see results. Incorporating aerobic exercise into your daily routine will also improve your fitness and general muscle tone.

Contour also makes a BackCare kit, which can be used in conjunction with the CoreBelt to give your lower back a workout. The BackCare kit operates on the same principle as the CoreBelt with electronic muscle stimulation. Consult a physician before undergoing this program, and remember that the Contour stomach exercise alone is not a substitute for a balanced diet and exercise program.
