Some computer graphics cards allow you to flip the display image from landscape (horizontal/standard) to portrait (vertical) view. This flip sometimes occurs accidentally, though, requiring you to find a way to switch the monitor from a vertical view back to a horizontal view. If this happens, switch your monitor back to landscape view using one of two methods.
Instructions
Video Card Properties
1. Right-click on a blank space on the desktop and select the "Properties" option.
2. Click the "Settings" tab, followed by the "Advanced" button.
3. Click on the computer's graphics card to open the graphics card's settings.
4. Click the "Rotate Display" option and select "No Rotation (Landscape)" (the option names may vary slightly, depending on the graphics card).
Hotkeys
5. Hold the "Ctrl" and "Alt" keys simultaneously.
6. Press the right-arrow button while continuing to hold "Ctrl" and "Alt" down; the screen rotates around, and eventually reaches landscape (horizontal) view.
7. Release the "Ctrl" and "Alt" buttons.
