Create Music On Fruity Loops 6

Old-school equalization

Fruity Loops 6 is an older version of the FL Studio music production suite. As one of the most user-friendly music production programs, Fruity Loops 6 comes with functional components, such as digital modules, channels, plug-ins and equalizers that are not complicated to use or understand. Creating music on Fruity Loops 6 can be one of the most simplified ways to bring your musical ideas to life. You can create a music loop in less than five minutes with Fruity Loops 6. You don't even need an instrument or singing voice.

Instructions

1. Double-click the Fruity Loops 6 icon on your computer's desktop screen. Allow the Fruity Loops 6 engine to run and start the program up properly before taking any further action.

2. Click the "File" tab at the top of the Fruity Loops 6 module screen, and select the "New from Template" option.

3. Move the mouse over to the "Minimal" option, and several start-up templates will appear based on popular genres of music.

4. Click the genre that fits the style you want for your music creation. The pattern grid will then display several channels with sound plug-ins associated with the genre you selected.

5. Locate the beats-per-bar meter to the left of the Pattern 1 title above the channels and sound plug-ins. Change the beats-per-bar meter to 8, 12 or 16 to determine the size of your music loop. (The beats-per-bar will depend solely on the length you desire for your loop.)

6. Turn the metronome on, by clicking its button at the top of the module screen. The metronome button will light up.

7. Press the "Play" button at the top of the screen to hear the sound of the metronome. The metronome will indicate the speed at which Fruity Loops 6 is currently set.

8. Adjust the tempo meter to speed up or slow down the metronome. Once you have decided on a tempo for your song, you can either keep the metronome on to assist with the speed of the music creation or turn it off by clicking its button once again.

9. Click the buttons in the step sequencers, to the right of each channel, to create a sound grid for your song. Press the "Play" button to play back the music.

10. Turn the loop indicator on, located on the left side of the pattern title, to repeat your creation. Allow the music to continue playing, so you can hear the rhythm and melody, and master your creation.

11. Click "View" at the top of the Fruity Loops 6 module, and select "Browser." The browser houses all of the program's stock sound plug-ins and sound-fonts.

12. Right-click the sound plug-in of your choice, and select "Piano Roll" to add any inserts or changes to the sound.

13. Scroll through the browser to add more sound plug-ins and sound-fonts at your own discretion.

14. Press "SHIFT + CTRL + S" on the computer's keyboard to save your music creation to your computer's hard drive.
