2. Get insurance that offers wellness programs. Several insurance companies, such as Blue Cross and Aetna, now offer wellness programs to their policyholders. Programs include education programs that help you make better dietary and lifestyle choices. The insurance company may provide specialized emails and suggestions for managing health conditions like asthma and diabetes. Select insurance companies now offer discounts to members who join a health club, lose weight or reduce blood pressure and blood sugar. You have to talk to your insurance provide because not all policyholders qualify for health programs.


3. Join a health club. Select a health club that offers health and wellness programs, adding them to their membership fees.
