When it comes to cellulite, almost everyone has it. Whether you are large or small, cellulite is visible due to a number of reasons. If you have lost or gained weight, and especially if you are pregnant, cellulite is a natural occurrence but one that can be controlled. Remember, you are not trying to make the appearance of your cellulite decrease, but are trying to eliminate your cellulite altogether.
Exercise
Like all other health issues, exercise is usually the key to becoming healthy both inside and out. When you exercise, you increase your circulation, causing blood and oxygen in your body to flow more easily and more quickly. Also, ridding your body of fat and gaining muscle decreases the wrinkles and dimples in your skin, which cause the appearance of cellulite. Cardiovascular exercise and strength training are exercise routines you need to perform in order to get rid of cellulite in your problem areas. The best cardio workout is swimming since it works every muscle in the body. When doing strength training, think about "spot reduction," or working specifically on the areas in which your cellulite appears to target the problem and make it go away.
Healthy Diet Habits
Along with exercise, your body needs nutrients to keep you strong inside and out. A healthy diet will decrease your body fat and this will then decrease your cellulite. It has also been found that cellulite is prone to areas in which your body stores fluid, so keep fluid reduction in mind. Any excess fluids in your body will flow to the fatty parts where cellulite is created and will swell. That increases the appearance of cellulite and you do not want that.
The following are foods good for a cellulite-free diet: most berries, spinach, asparagus, apples, bananas, oats and bran, eggs and fish.
Massage
Massaging the areas of your body that have or are prone to cellulite is another way to reduce the amount of cellulite you have. Massaging any part of your body increase blood circulation and stimulates the fatty tissue. This helps disperse the fat cells that create cellulite so you have less dimpling and wrinkling in the fatty areas. You can knead the area with your fists, create rolling motions, or rub the area in circles. It is best to massage different ways so you can move the fat cells and diminish your cellulite. Don't forget to massage with lotion or olive oil, which contains detoxification properties that help heal your skin and muscles.
