Casio Stopwatch Instructions

Running, walking and swimming are great ways to boost your energy, build cardiovascular strength and enjoy the outdoors. If you've included any these activities to your exercise routine, track your progress by timing yourself. The Casio stopwatch easily records and stores detailed information about your performance that is accessible at the touch of a button.


Setting the Time Display


The Casio stopwatch has both a time display and a stopwatch display, each of which can be accessed by pressing the "mode" button on the top of the watch. The time display gives information about the date and time. To set these, toggle to the time display and hold down the "recall" button on the bottom right for a few seconds. Adjust each flashing element to the desired setting by pressing the "Start/Stop" key to move negatively and the "Lap/Split" key to move positively. Press the "Mode" key to adjust the next element.


Using the Stopwatch Features


The stopwatch display captures the total elapsed time shown in large numbers at the bottom of the watch face. Just above it is the lap time and lap number. And, at the top is the a split time. The split time is the amount of time accrued from the starting point to a particular mark. To start timing, press the "Stop/Start" key at the top right of the watch. You can pause the operation by pressing the key again, and resume timing by pressing it a third time. Press the "Lap/Split" mode to reset the stopwatch. To utilize the lap/split feature, start timing and simply press the "Lap/Split" key at each marker. This feature can also be used to record times for up to one hundred different runners by pressing the "Lap/Split" key as each runner crosses the finish line.


Accessing Stopwatch Memory


The Casio stopwatch can store up to 200 records that it divides into groups of 100 each. While in the stopwatch display, you can access this data by pressing the "Recall" button at the bottom right. The newest record will be displayed first, and you can scroll through the others by pressing the "Start/Stop" and "Lap/Split" keys. The fastest time will also be notated in the stored data.
