ION drums allow you to record your performances.
ION Drums are electronic drum pads that simulate the sounds of real drums. Drums like the Studio Session include six different kits suited to different musical styles. Some ION drums are built for musical video games like the Rock Band series. All ION drums use a USB output cable that can connect directly to a computer USB port. You can convert the USB cable to a MIDI jack through a USB-to-MIDI converter.
Instructions
1. Unplug the ION drum's power cable from the electrical outlet. You do not want to risk electrical shock when working with the kit.
2. Plug the ION drum's USB output cable into one side of the USB extender.
3. Insert the the USB cable from the MIDI converter into the other end of the USB extender. You now have an open female MIDI jack that can connect with any male MIDI cable. The MIDI-to-USB converter will automatically convert the USB audio signals from the drums to a MIDI signal.
