Bariatric Programs

Bariatric programs help severely obese individuals achieve significant and long-term weight loss.

Bariatric, or weight-loss, surgery is a medical procedure offered to people diagnosed as extremely obese. It helps patients lose weight by reducing the amount of food intake. The surgery alters the digestive system anatomy to reduce the amount of food that can be digested. Bariatric surgery often results in considerable weight loss, which can improve various health conditions, such as high blood pressure and cholesterol. There are many bariatric programs around the country.
